1000th Machine Rolls off the Production Line at Heidelberg in China
The 1000th machine has just left the factory halls of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) at its assembly site in Qingpu near Shanghai (China). Toppan chose a ROTOMAN to produce China’s high-end magazines such as Elle China, Vogue China, Ray China, HIM China, Bazaar China, Marie Claire China, Esquire China, and Madame Figaro China. Heidelberg Sells Another Large-Format Press to China
Yiwu Feile Color Printing Co. Ltd. from Zhejiang province recently signed the agreement for a Speedmaster XL 145 five-color press - the first in eastern China. This increases the number of large-format presses from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) on the growth market of China to three. Color-Bridge Printing & Packaging Co. Ltd. has already been using a Speedmaster XL 162 six-color press plus coating for its commercial and packaging jobs for a year. Last fall, Feng Yiu Packaging Co. Ltd. invested in a Speedmaster XL 145 six-color press for packaging printing. Read More
KBA Rapida 75 at Thammasat University in Bangkok
Following a string of installations in various parts of the world, the B2 (29in) KBA Rapida 75 launched at Drupa 2008 made its successful Thailand debut in February this year at Thammasat Printing House, a production facility attached to Bangkok’s Thammasat University. KBA engineers and service technicians from Intergraphics, KBA’s Thai agency, took just three days to install and commission the four-colour press. For Thammasat Printing House’s production head Pitsanu Napakorn it was the fulfilment of a longstanding ambition. News Limited in Australia continues alliance with KBA
Following KBA Comet installations at The Gold Coast Bulletin in Molendinar, Queensland, in 2004 and at a new printing plant in Hobart, Tasmania, last year, Australian media major News Limited recently placed a third order for KBA’s popular B/B tower press, this time for its Darwin plant.
